about our practice. We at San Antonio Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Associates, have been providing world class Oral Surgery care for our

It all started back in 1967 with a little practice in the new "medical center" area
of San Antonio. After Dr. James M. Duncan (Retired) finished his Oral Surgery
training at the famous Parkland Memorial Hospital, he had a vision for creating
a premier Oral Surgery practice in San Antonio. Dr. R. Mikel Westwood soon
joined him in 1973.
With the scope and technology of Oral surgery increasing at a rapid pace in the
1970's, San Antonio Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assoc., P.A. was on the
cutting edge. We were integral in bringing, developing & promoting the
placement of dental implants and assisted in organizing the first Brånemark
Implant Center here in San Antonio.
In 2008, Dr. James B. Mazock joined the practice and has played an intergral
part in bringing San Antonio Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assoc., P.A into
the 21st century.
Over the years, San Antonio Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assoc., P.A. has
maintained the tradition of excellence from which we started. We realize you
