Our Doctors
practice in San Antonio, Dr. Westwood returned to school for training
in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health
Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his surgery training in
1973, at which time he began private practice of Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery with Dr. James Duncan. Dr. Duncan and Dr Westwood have
practiced together for 35 years.
Dr Westwood and his wife Barbara have been active in the San Antonio
District Dental Society and the Texas Dental Association. Barbara is a
past president of both the Alliance to the San Antonio District Dental
Society and the Alliance to the Texas Dental Association. Dr.
Westwood has served as president of the San Antonio District Dental
Society for one year, and president of the Board of Directors of the
Texas Dental Foundation for four years. They both continue to actively
serve the dental associations.
Dr. Westwood is certified by the American Board of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgeons, and he maintains membership in the Texas and
American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as
the American Dental Association. He is a fellow of the American
College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. and Mrs. Westwood are active volunteers with the San Antonio
Conservation Society during Fiesta where they have been booth
chairmen for 36 years. They enjoy visiting their children,
grandchildren and traveling.

graduate of Highlands High School. He attended
the University of Texas at Austin and graduated
from the University of Texas Dental Branch at
Houson in 1967 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery
degree. Following two years of active duty with
